The Institute of Ministry is a ministry of Ironwood using the unique aspects of the camping ministry to disciple young adults for an extended time through practical classes, hands-on ministry experience, and exposure to dedicated mentors. The purpose is to enable young adults to live consistent Christian lives and minister in their homes and churches—all to the glory of God.
We currently have six folks in IIM. Three girls and three guys make up what I like to call one of the finest ministry crews we have had yet. This year has been busy! All six of the crew members are actively involved in camp here at Ironwood. At any given time you will see crew members cooking, serving, doing dishes, running program activities, and a ton of other jobs here at camp. In the midst of all of the service they do at camp we have squeezed in a class on Counseling, taken a church field trip, gone on an excursion, and all in all just had a great year. Our primary theme within IIM is knowing and doing the will of God. We began the year with the answer to the following question. “How can I know for sure that I am in the will of God?” The answer, “Get in the will of God today and stay there!” That is our goal!
